General MIDI Percussion Samples
Redlight Records has put together an extended set of GM Percussion samples to fill in all the gaps in your GM drum kits library. With note mapping and velocity stacks on many components, these 16bit Wave samples will drop right into your software sampler so you can start rockin with a full set of quality GM perccussion sounds. (see also 8 Bar MIDI drum beat). 90 samples in all in a 25MB zip archive.
General MIDI Drum Kit Samples
REDLIGHT custom made this drum sample kit from our own Gretch New Classic Kit©. Using a 1963 Vintage Slingerland 8" x 15" Snare. (+thwack) The kit sounds great on rock, country and even some hard stuff. Samples are 16bit Wave files and have note mapping for General MIDI compatibility, and velocity stacks for most components. Your kit will sound more dynamic than ever. Extra hits and some percussion are also included so you can create a great, full GM drum kit of your own. 73 samples in all in a 22MB zip archive

JTV Custom Strat Patch • Dream Rig Presets for the HD500
DT-25 amp, HD-500 pedalboard, Variax guitar make a great combo. Redlight Records has prepared patches for the HD500 or HD500x, that have patch information controling all three components of the Dream Rig. These are in HD500 (.h5b) format but can be swapped to HD500X (.5xe) by simply changing the file extension.
Redlight Records pulled these 4 patches from Jordan Egler's personal Dream Rig which features the DT-25 amp. The patches for the Dream Rig are leveled and ready for live use. Note: access boost mode by using a 2nd expression pedal. 205kb zip.
As a bonus for you HD500 users, here are Jordan's 4 patches optimized for use either direct to a P.A. or through Line 6's L6 Speakers. We've even included a bonus patch for your acoustic guitar! 70kb zip.
Have a Line-6 JTV guitar? A lot of players complained of the Strat models' poor string response on the B and high E string. Jordan fixes those problems and has included the full bundle of his JTV-69 model presets. 140kb zip.
DT-25 Maintenance
Redlight Records likes to keep it's gear running clean and cool, whether it's in the studio or out on the road. The DT-25, like all tube amps, requires a routine changing and biasing of the tubes. Jordan shows you how to do that with a step by step how-to. Turn on CC or view the notes on YouTube*.

You have to be careful with fret levelling for the simple basic reason that you can’t put back fret metal once you’ve taken it off. You need to know what you’re doing and what to expect – but once you are clear about the steps, then the good news is that you don’t have to spend a fortune on expensive tools to do this pretty radical and transformational job. You can spend a fortune if you want but it isn’t necessary and this last weekend I did fret levelling on two guitars; one the lo-tech, lo-cost way and the other a mid-priced, higher-tech way.
